Anders Hegelund
Anders Hegelund is born in Vendsyssel in 1938. Inspired by light, the landscape and the region’s vital artistic life, AH drew and painted from 1955-60, where he also recieved education from the painter Johannes Hoffmeister. After completing his education at the Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture, AH ran an architectural and design studio in New Harbour until he resumed painting in 2007.
Anders Hegelund's personal imagery is unanecdotal and nonfigurative. In an interplay between architecture, landscape and light, the painting's lines, surfaces and colors are treated in a musical and poetic dialogue.
